Quelle Dommage.

Politicians seen
To climb the greasy pole
With a mixture of intentions,
Quickly tempered with reasoned excuses.

Lies, discovered years later
Broken election promises
Kicked into “the long grass”
Conveniently forgotten.

Some elected lazy
Some turned greedy
Few try to remember
Their constituent voters.

Later another vote comes round
Another opportunity
To blame the poor
Poor teaching education
Hostile press or unions.

Posh schools
Exist in a bubble of babble…
Beyond reach of parents,
Families trapped in poverty.

“Bullingdon boys” wealthy havoc
See paupers with nothing
A breeding ground
Smouldering contempt.

Comrades – Quelle Dommage!
