Beyond the window

My life is lived in libraries
Far away from hopelessness
Or, the cares of the world
Numbly happy, paralysed
Books and google are all I need
Cuddling my cleverness
The world is another country
Beyond the window

Blind clad windows shield me
From the horros of reality
Purified air for my lungs
Electric light for my eyes
My finely tuned environment promotes
My cleverness, which is a reeking albatross
Sterilised and driven by routines
The world is another country
Beyond the window
