The defence budget is going to explode in the next three years. £300bn will be spent by three ministers none of whom are military men. They will be advised by the Chiefs of the Defence Staff. They are all career military personnel. They have tunnel vision and think that Britain is a global power. They aren’t thinking of Britain as a small power who should be spending money defending Britain.
