The malign Dostoevsky

Dostoevsky’s sigh came from deep inside
His Faustian soul. It unleashed
Stories of moral degradation.
Stories which were cunningly seductive.

They soaked Europe’s bourgeoisie with
Learned despair and nihilism
Destroying their progressive world with
Festering rancid introspection

Dostoevsky’s sigh spread worldwide,
Wafted onwards by innocence. His sigh
Reached readers who died like peasants
Clutching icons of bigotry.

Europe’s bourgeoisie inhaled his sigh
A lethal perfume of death
Dostoevsky’s undead Faustian soul
Concealed murderous ideals.
