   The lyrics of Strange Fruit are well worth looking at in full as well as the photo of the lynching showing grinning men, women and children. The everyday savagery of lynching is ‘normalised’ in that photo.

     You might want to look at the Emmett Till case in relation to the Trayvon Martin case and, maybe ask, was Obama over- stating his shock
