Alzheimers

Thoughts slip intangible
Aside as crumpled, shadows
brief, intense…
Memories hazed in short lost,
Dusty layers…
Drifting uncontrolled
Entangled, mangled, coaster rides
Thoughts spangled – each,
Sparking another
Flashing fleetingly…
Scenes half recalled
Pull at shaded drapes as,
A triangled mirror…
Confused,  faded, meld,
In and then lost.
Ephemerally…
Delight eclipsed,
Small in the sour mouth grin,
Forgotten fervour.

Loves that sparked
The senile smile
Of  “that’s – that’s”…
Nearly thought,
Lost…
