How Clever?

Poison Putrid streams meander, lethargic where once bustling cities stood

No more will joy and laughter sing from rotted blackened corpses

The architect, just arrogant man, beyond sobs of regretful politicians

In just hours from the point where “no turning back” was reached

Planes and rockets delivered expediential death.

Then nuclear weapons in just days returned in hated devastation

All Heaven in rage begged millions of innocent beings

Now scarred impotent grey teeth, once concrete built

Stand in per diem of mankind’s final folly

As winds dip in furious choreography to lick at brickly stumps.

Drawn still magnetised by natures raging forces

A thousand thousand years bent back in rendered bespoke sorrow

Stir no more mans greedy grasping atoms nor ever weep for legacy unborn.

Only arrogant man……….fool.
