In a thought

Would a single sweet silent star
Cost but a shilling beyond my empty purse
That glittering orbit from afar
Beating in the wild wide universe:
Would I yet be willing to sell this paupers soul
Into shackles for a moments bright light touch
To extol
My love so much, so much
Where again we stand both side by side
On a day in perhaps some future May
Where once again I hold you as my bride
Where once again you might yet say
I love you
As I you – I truly do.
